MWD were approached to design two holiday let treehouses, inspired by the surrounding woodland, the units are suspended off the ground by stilts giving high-level views across Carmarthen Bay.  Internally, the sleeping areas are stepped back above the open plan living area with a turret housing children’s bunk beds to the rear.  A double-height open plan living area and fully glazed gable offer views out to the canopy, whilst in the couples unit, a glazed apex allows stargazing from the bed. Overall, the design takes the aesthetics of traditional timber cabins and the playfulness of the childhood treehouse and combines them with a modern twist.
