This timber framed house is perched in a parcel of woodland overlooking a stream. To reduce the impact to the landscape around the house the studio is raised and cantilevered off the main house and large windows make the most of the beautiful surroundings creating a strong connection between the inside and out.

The house will be clad in locally sourced larch cladding which will silver over time. The cladding on both gable ends are scorched timber to diferentiate it from the untreated larch that wraps over the top of the building.
