We worked in collaboration with the award winning not-for-profit education organisation Down To Earth on a traditional timber framed barn that is used as a carpentry workshop and office on their site on the Gower Peninsula.

The use of natural, breathable construction methods and green technologies are integral to the design with much of the materials sourced as locally as possible.

Down to Earth uses traditional and sustainable building methods to offer fully accessible and inclusive commercial construction projects to diverse community groups, particularly from ‘hard to reach’ and disadvantaged backgrounds. As both client and contractor Down To Earth teaches participants practical skills through accredited hands-on training programmes. To see more about what they do, you can visit their website
